My name is Mme Proulx and I am so happy to be teaching Grade 7/8 at St. Anthony French Immersion for the 2018-2019 school year! This is my third year at St. Anthony having spent the past two years in the primary division. I am very fortunate to be returning to my intermediate teaching roots and I am excited to be surrounded by an amazing team of colleagues dedicated to inspiring adolescents.
I grew up in Ottawa and have taken French Immersion since Kindergarten. Having grown up in Canada's capital, is my goal to inspire your son or daughter to explore the opportunities that being bilingual offers them. I attended Queen’s University’s Concurrent Education Program and specialized in Biology, Psychology and French. I live in London with my husband, Tom, who attends the Dental School at Western University, and our dog, Romo. I love traveling, reading, all things Disney, and all animals. I am very excited to get to know you and your son or daughter this year. I hope you all had restful summers and are ready for an incredible school year. I myself had a very busy and exciting summer. My husband and I try to spend our summers travelling with our families in the hopes of exploring as many of God's amazing creations as possible while immersing ourselves in different cultures. This year we travelled to Italy, Croatia and Greece. Among our favourite destinations are South Africa and the Galapagos Islands (being a Biology nerd at heart, I felt like I was in heaven on Earth!) and France (you simply can't beat the culture!). After travelling I worked with many 7/8 colleagues in the LDCSB to perfect our math teaching practices. I can't wait to share all the great things I learned with you and your child! Let's have a great year! |
